Project Manager

Freelance Civils Project Manager - Teesside and Northern Projects

Rate: Up to £400 per day

Engagement: CIS, subject to status assessment

Start: Immediate/ASAP

Location: Teesside with travel across Northern England

We are supporting an established civil engineering contractor with a growing programme of works across Teesside and other northern infrastructure projects.

The Project Manager will take responsibility for between one and three smaller civil engineering packages, potentially covering:

- Roads and junctions

- Drainage and groundworks

- Footpaths and concrete slabs

- Landscaping and external works

- Contaminated ground and asbestos remediation projects

- Site teams and specialist subcontractors

We need an operationally strong civils PM who is comfortable managing varied packages, client relationships, programme, commercial performance, health and safety and delivery teams.

Applicants should have:

- Extensive civil engineering project management experience

- A varied background rather than experience limited to one type of project

- SMSTS and appropriate CSCS certification

- Strong subcontractor and direct labour management

- Willingness to travel and work across multiple northern projects

- Immediate or short notice availability
