The Group employs over 400 people worldwide and currently has offices in the UK, Ireland, Sydney and Melbourne.We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our operation based in North London  The successful candidates will have an opportunity to work a wide variety of projects in support the Rail and Telecommunications business units.Working as part of the team structure the candidate shall, as necessary, deliver design and support from initial concept planning through to detailed design.Successful applicants will have the following:Network Rail Standards, Railway Group Standards and CDM regulationsAwareness and understanding of current British StandardsBe familiar, and have experience of Points Heating system designFulfil the duties of Contract Responsible Engineer in line with CDM regulations & NR standards Desired CriteriaQualified to Degree, or higher level, in Electrical EngineeringMembership of relevant professional bodySkilled using software including: Bentley, Microstation v8i, ProjectWise, eB and AmtechRoles & Responsibilities:The Electrical Design Engineer shall report to the Design ManagerPrepare detailed technical specification throughout GRIP stagesReview and checking of documentationProduce 2D/3D CAD drawingsComplete cable calculations in conjunction with documents/drawingsAssist with client technical queriesPrepare risk assessmentsProduce detailed programmes to provide time scales and milestones for the projectsProduction of Work Package Plans and Task BriefsPrepare operation and maintenance manualsConduct site surveysAttend client meetingsIDC review’s as per project requirementsTo be considered for the above post please in the first instance upload your CV for further information please contact Jay Wilson tel 07833 226 563 or email [email protected]
