Business Advisor

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client in Wales.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Business Advisor to integrate with our established team. The successful candidate will work to advise and support new business start-ups and help established businesses grow.

Duties include:

  • Organisation of own diary, appointments, and events.
  • Accurate record keeping and data entry.
  • Delivery of Business Start-Up sessions that are appropriate and up to date.
  • Provide critical intervention with pre-start and start-up businesses through one-to-one advice and coaching utilising own expertise, providing specialist professional advice tailored to an individual's business needs.
  • Working with the wider team of Business Advisors
  • To act as key account handler for a client caseload; ensuring progress through regular contact and follow up with clients.
  • To be up to date with the current legislation on start-up business.
  • Attendance at city-wide start-up events to keep on top of the local business start-up landscape.
  • To contribute to the organisation of networking events and general information sessions for start-up and growth businesses.

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience of working to targets
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and is efficient at gathering relevant information.
  • Ability to work effectively, independently, and within a collaborative team-orientated environment, using sound judgement in decision making
  • Strong customer focus, understanding and has experience in delivering high standard of customer service
  • Has confidence in discussing finances and challenging unrealistic information.
  • Confidence in decision making and owning decisions
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks to reflect business needs
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word
  • Decisive and solution orientated

Desirable knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in assessing Business Plans and Cash Flows
  • Knowledge of the current SME market with an understanding of how to support customers with their individual needs

Information:

  • 39k Per Annum
  • Monday to Friday - 37hrs per week
  • Inital 12 Month Contract
  • Remote Working
  • DBS Check Required
