This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and fast-paced environment where transport and logistics play a critical role in overall business success. 🚚 Your new role As Transport Controller, you will be responsible for managing and optimising UK and international transport operations, ensuring the timely, cost-effective and compliant movement of goods. You will oversee carrier performance, negotiate transport agreements, monitor expenditure, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the transport function. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure service levels are maintained while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The role also carries responsibility for ensuring compliance with HMRC and transport regulations, managing customs and shipping documentation, supporting audit requirements, and contributing to longer-term transport planning strategies. This is a varied position that combines operational coordination, commercial decision-making, and stakeholder management. ✅ 🎯 What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in transport, logistics, supply chain or freight operations, ideally with responsibility for planning, scheduling and carrier management. You will possess a strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements, alongside excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
