Legal Advisor (6 month contract)

As Legal Advisor, you will work closely with the legal team and wider group, to ensure that the business meets its legal, statutory, and regulatory obligations. You will be a key member of the team, providing excellent levels of service to manage risk and protect the business while enabling growth. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will review and advise on contract risks for the business, balancing commercial and regulatory needs.

The Role:

  • Managing the end-to-end contract review process for client terms; reviewing, negotiating, obtaining necessary authorisations, managing flow-down process.
  • Collaborating with clients and internal departments to adjust contract terms and finalise any amendment requests or renewals.
  • Preparing a detailed risk assessments of any new or amended client contracts, providing an overview of the proposed terms to be authorised by the leadership team.
  • Attending external client meetings to discuss and negotiate agreements.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of contracts across different group entities (including Service Agreements, Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements, Statements of Work, MSP and PSL Terms etc.) being able to identify risks and, where necessary, draft any necessary amendments taking into consideration any relevant regulations and legislation impacting the services.
  • Assisting and answering complex queries (e.g. Conduct Regulations, AWR, IR35)
  • Supporting team inboxes on a daily basis, answering queries and reviewing legal requests.
  • Providing assistance with audits to ensure that the function is complying with group processes.
  • Updating and uploading terms of business on the CRM (Bullhorn).
  • Dealing with legal escalations (e.g. contractors not returning client equipment post-termination) and advising internal stakeholders on appropriate course of action and next steps.


What do you need to be successful?

  • Strong legal knowledge, either qualified by experience or other relevant qualification.
  • Good knowledge of legislation applicable to the recruitment sector, including AWR and IR35.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • You have keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • You are able to build great rapport with internal members of staff and external parties.
  • Possess excellent negotiation skills
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new IT systems and software quickly.
