About the role of Managing Quantity Surveyor
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to spearhead their new commercial team on an exciting new project. You will be instrumental in building and developing a high-performing team of Quantity Surveyors while delivering exceptional commercial outcomes.
The responsibilities of a Managing Quantity Surveyor
- Develop and implement commercial strategies including creating and executing plans to ensure financial success of a project.
- Manage the commercial aspects of the project from inception to completion.
- Ensure accurate cost control and financial reporting by monitoring project costs and preparing financial reports, and identifying potential cost overruns.
Requirements for Managing Quantity Surveyor
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior or Managing Surveyor on projects c 50 million+
- Experience working on 2-stage projects would be advantageous.
- You will need to have comprehensive technical civil engineering knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards
- Excellent research, proposal writing and oral presentation skills
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification
