Role: IT Support Engineer
Location: Nottingham (Long Eaton)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

About the Role:
You’ll be the first point of contact for technical support within a busy software development environment. From troubleshooting hardware and software issues to managing user accounts and supporting remote infrastructure, your work will keep the business running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to internal users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Maintain and monitor IT systems and infrastructure
- Set up and configure new user accounts, hardware, and software
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and service providers
- Ensure security and data protection protocols are followed
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar IT support or technician role
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Office 365, and remote desktop tools
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities remotely
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting a software development environment
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Any relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)
