Role Overview: As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our clients market presence and driving revenue growth. You will leverage your industry expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills to identify new business opportunities, develop key accounts, and foster long-term partnerships. Your efforts will directly contribute to our clients mission of being the preferred choice for air and ocean freight forwarding solutions globally. Key Responsibilities: * Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to target potential clients and markets. * Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and engage with prospective clients, understanding their unique logistics needs and presenting tailored solutions. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders. * Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction. * Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to clients, showcasing our clients’ capabilities and value proposition. Lead negotiations to secure profitable contracts and agreements. * Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and analyse sales performance, preparing regular reports and forecasts for senior management. Utilise data-driven insights to refine strategies and achieve sales targets. Qualifications: * Proven Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry. * Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of air and ocean freight forwarding operations, market dynamics, and industry trends. * Strong Network: Established network of contacts within the logistics sector, with a track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships. * Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to and influence key stakeholders. * Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalising on business opportunities. * Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team environment.
