Interim ERP Finance Change Manager to manage and lead the change initiatives associated with the implementation and optimization of our ERP systems in the finance function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transition to new ERP solutions, ensuring successful integration, and driving change management within the finance department. This role requires strong project management, finance system expertise, and excellent change management skills to ensure smooth adoption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

ERP Finance Change Management:

  • Lead the finance-related change management efforts during the implementation of the ERP system, ensuring seamless transition for finance teams.
  • Drive the adoption of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday) and new processes in the finance function.
  • Assess the impact of ERP implementation on finance workflows and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, and business leaders to define ERP system requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage communication with key stakeholders to ensure clear expectations, feedback, and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Process Reengineering and Optimization:

  • Analyze existing finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization within the new ERP framework.
  • Ensure that finance processes are aligned with best practices in ERP design and implementation, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce manual interventions.

Training and Support:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training plans for finance teams to ensure they are proficient in using the new ERP system.
  • Provide ongoing support post-implementation to address issues, ensure system adoption, and optimize finance processes.

Change Communication:

  • Design and execute communication plans to inform finance and other key stakeholders about the ERP project’s progress, benefits, and expected changes.
  • Lead initiatives to address resistance to change, provide clear explanations of new processes, and foster a positive attitude towards the ERP implementation.

Project Management:

  • Oversee ERP finance change initiatives from inception through to successful completion, ensuring projects stay on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
  • Track milestones, manage risks, and resolve issues as they arise to ensure smooth ERP implementation for the finance team.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Measure the success of the ERP implementation within the finance function, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to track adoption, efficiency improvements, and user satisfaction.
  • Regularly report to senior leadership on progress, issues, and outcomes of ERP finance change initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management or finance transformation, particularly within ERP system implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
  • Proven experience in managing change in the finance department as part of an ERP or financial systems upgrade.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and workflows, with the ability to assess and optimize them within an ERP environment.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Change Management, PMP, ERP certifications) are a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in ERP systems implementation, integration, and optimization (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong change management skills, with experience using methodologies like ADKAR, Prosci, or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successful finance system projects.
  • Proficiency in finance software and tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.), with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
