Production Supervisor

Scope of Role Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer, and Morrisons and Waitrose in the UK. The purpose of this is to support management team towards achieving maximum production efficiency and product quality; to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene procedures; to control legal compliance and process systems. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity. Key Responsibilities To allocate and supervise staff to different lines to achieve overall production efficiency and to ensure that production targets are met per order. To understand AX, Autocoding, and Sparc systems and utilise these in the department To control packaging, labels, etc, and sign off required documents To observe department stock rotation and control To deal with quality / process issues To ensure that production records are accurately completed To sign off department specifics training To investigate staff personnel issues at ground level such as timekeeping and work performance and to report any issues to the department management team. To ensure that appropriate Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene procedures are implemented at all times To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity. To undertake other appropriate duties as deemed necessary within the scope of the role.
