HR Officer - Employee Relations
South West London / Surrey Border
22 per hour 36 hours per week
Initial 3-month temporary assignment Immediate start
We are recruiting an experienced HR Officer to join a large, multi-site education organisation on an initial 3-month temporary assignment.
This is a hands-on HR role with a strong focus on Employee Relations and case management. Working closely with Managers across the organisation, you will provide practical HR advice and support across a range of live employee relations matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supporting a varied caseload of Employee Relations matters
- Advising Managers on performance and capability issues
- Supporting absence management cases
- Managing disciplinary and grievance processes
- Providing clear and practical advice in line with HR policies and employment legislation
- Supporting Managers to ensure cases are progressed appropriately and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining accurate case records and HR documentation
- Supporting the wider HR team as required
About you:
You will be an experienced HR professional who is confident managing Employee Relations cases and advising Managers at all levels.
You will ideally have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
- Strong hands-on Employee Relations and case management experience
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance cases
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple live cases and competing priorities
- Previous experience within education, the public sector or a large multi-site organisation would be advantageous
You will need to be available immediately or at very short notice and able to commit to the initial 3-month assignment.
