You will ensure electrical design intent, performance requirements, and integration constraints are aligned across the wider system architecture. Working closely with internal engineering teams and external equipment suppliers, you will translate system-level requirements into clear technical expectations, supporting successful delivery, integration, verification, and acceptance activities throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary technical interface between the weapon system and equipment suppliersEnsure electrical compatibility and integrity across subsystems and overall system architectureSupport system integration, verification, validation, and acceptance activitiesDefine, manage, and develop electrical requirements throughout the project lifecycleOwn and manage supplier Statements of Work (SOWs)Lead technical reviews, design reviews, and supplier progress meetingsMonitor delivery against cost, schedule, performance, and quality objectivesCollaborate within multi-disciplinary engineering teams including systems, software, mechanical and power engineering functionsIdentify and mitigate technical risks and issuesSupport decisions regarding equipment reuse, modification, or new design implementationEnsure compliance with applicable electrical standards, regulations, and certification requirementsCandidate Requirements Applicants should be able to demonstrate:Strong understanding of systems engineering and complex system integrationExperience defining and managing system, subsystem, or equipment-level requirementsBackground in electrical integration, power distribution, electrical equipment, or related engineering disciplinesExperience managing technical work packages or engaging with external suppliersKnowledge of verification, validation, and certification processesExperience producing technical documentation and working within controlled engineering environmentsPractical understanding of electrical systems, interfaces, wiring, and power architectures Experience within highly regulated industries such as defence, aerospace, maritime, transportation, energy, or other complex engineering sectors would be advantageous.Security Requirements Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to obtain the appropriate level of UK security clearance.
