They work with some of the biggest OEMs across the globe to seamlessly integrate their innovative battery solutions into existing manufacturing processes; they aim to accelerate the electrification of the world and push for a better future for everyone.
Join a team that believes in the power of diversity and supporting each other to achieve a mission for the greater good.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Battery Modelling Engineer, you will be heavily involved in the design and application of physics-based models to enhance the performance of our client’s battery offerings.
Your day to day might look a little like this:
• Analysing battery data and performance metrics to make suggestions and improvements for future iterations
• Working closely with cross-functional teams and partners to integrate modelling insights into practical applications
• Translating simulation results into actionable insights to be shared for real-world battery applications
• Collaborate with experimentalists to design tests and gather data for parameterization and validation of models
A bit about you
Ideally, you’ll be based in London, UK.
You’ll have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and a PhD (or engineering degree) in a relevant field, such as thermal dynamics or battery electrochemistry.
A few other key skills we are looking for:
• A solid understanding of the physics behind lithium-ion batteries and mechanisms of battery degradation
• Knowledge of battery testing techniques, including experience in designing or conducting your own battery tests
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment
• Proficiency in battery data analysis techniques, being able to extract performance metrics and signs of degradation into actionable strategies
• Experience with programming languages, such as Python, will also be helpful in this role
