About the role
As a Legal Counsel, you will take on an important role within the Legal department, accountable for legal matters relating to our client’s technology infrastructure and products. You will play a key part in shaping and supporting the acquisition, maintenance, and resourcing of such initiatives.

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
The must haves:
- Significant experience in commercial law with a proven track record in providing strategic transactional legal advice.
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to analyse complex legal and commercial issues.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple material matters simultaneously.
- Self-sufficient and proactive with sound business acumen.
- 5 + years PQE (Post-Qualified Experience).
Key responsibilities
- Provide commercially focused, accurate, effective, and timely legal advice, analysis, and support on a broad range of complex legal matters.
- Handle procurement, outsourcing, technology transfer arrangements, and engagements for the acquisition of commercial products and associated third-party supply contracts.
- Offer legal advice and set policy; work closely with the business to build relationships and understand key legal issues.
- Respond to internal and external contacts in a timely and effective manner, proactively progressing matters to a conclusion.
- Identify areas of risk in legal and operational matters, including regulatory issues, and provide solutions to manage these risks.
- Support other areas of the legal function and business as needed.
- Stay up to date with legal developments and key business information, sharing knowledge within the function.

- A day rate, in-scope IR35, £565 per day (via a Hays approved umbrella company)
- This role provides a remote working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in London/Reading, twice per week.
