Funds – major international firm- London – 1-4 PQE
Our client is a major UK headquartered global law firm with an established and longstanding reputation in all the markets in which it operates.
Their Funds team is top-ranked and advises on a full spectrum of private funds, investment management, and secondaries matters. Acting for both fund managers and investors, the team’s clients range from emerging start-ups to major international financial institutions. With a strong presence across the UK, Europe, and beyond, the practice collaborates closely with tax, regulatory, and sector specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Increasing client demand has led to a vacancy at Associate (most like 1-4 PQE) level.
As part of this team, you will advise on a broad range of fund-related matters, including GP and LP-side mandates, fund formations, investment management, and secondaries transactions. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating with tax, regulatory, and sector specialists to provide seamless advice. Your role will involve drafting and negotiating key fund documentation, advising clients on structuring considerations, and supporting business development initiatives as the practice continues to grow.
In order to be successful in your application, you will be a qualified lawyer, with experience gained from a respected City firm or overseas equivalent. You will mostly likely have:
- 1-4 years’ PQE with experience in funds and investment management from a leading law firm;
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to provide commercially focused advice;
- Experience in fund formation, ideally across private equity, credit, venture, real estate, and infrastructure funds;
- Knowledge of both closed and open-ended structures, LP-side advisory, co-investments, and secondaries; and
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach
