Role - Driver (Class 2)

Location - Manchester

Salary - £36,250 + £2,000 bonus

Type - Permanent

Hours - 8am-5pm (+overtime)
Days - Sunday-Thursday

Reed are currently working with a fantastic business who are looking for a number of Class 2 drivers to join their transport team on a permanent basis. You will be delivering to sites across Greater Manchester.

This role involves driving a Class 2 vehicle and supporting with general manual work, including lifting, loading, unloading, and assisting on-site when required.

The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, physically fit, and willing to get involved with both driving and hands-on duties.

Key Responsibilities

• The responsibility of preparing the vehicle by conducting operator maintenance, ensuring all products for delivery are correct
• Responsible for completing delivery notes, return sheets, and collecting payments.
• Maintain customer confidence by keeping information strictly confidential
• Responsible for checking the run sheets and routing.
• To plan your route and requirements for the drop by studying the schedule and any requests by the customer that are on the delivery note.
• Make customers aware of any stock shortages or problems with their delivery.
• Responsible for returning all empty cases and gas bottles, and ensuring that they are correctly stored in the empties yard
• Ensure that correct health and safety procedures are adhered to.
• To complete all required checks and ensure that check sheets are passed to the distribution manager.

Requirements

• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
• Good understanding of road safety and driving regulations.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
