Senior Quantity Surveyor, North East Lincolnshire, Civil Engineering

Unite People Civils is working with an established, international main contractor. That has recently secured a large infrastructure project of local significance. As a result, we are recruiting on their behalf for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work with their commercial team on a full-time, salary basis. Located in the Grimsby area of North East Lincolnshire

The successful candidate will be part of a project commercial team, reporting a site based commercial lead

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Identification of relevant contractors and robust procurement process
• Maintaining commercial controls on projects
• Monthly reporting
• Cost to complete
• Manage contractor accounts
• Maintain upstream communication to clients in way of such methods as Early Warnings
• Pricing Compensation Events
• Assessing change notifications inline with the contract conditions
• Issuing of payment certificates
• Close liaison and collaborative team work with the project team
• Sound knowledge of forms of contract
• Value engineering and cost optimisation

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A relevant qualification in the Construction/ Civil Engineering industry (preferred)
• Demonstrable working knowledge of civil engineering projects
