Salary: circa £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Working Pattern: Full-time (9am - 5pm), Mon - Fri Predominantly office based, with occasional hybrid working available to support business and client needs.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established HR Consultancy seeking an enthusiastic HR Advisor / HR Consultant to join their friendly, close-knit team. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of HR matters while building trusted relationships and developing into a confident HR Consultant.

The Role

As an HR Advisor / HR Consultant, you'll support a portfolio of clients by providing practical HR advice and assisting businesses with a variety of people-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to clients via telephone, email, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face meetings.
  • Respond to day-to-day HR and employment law enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support clients with employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management and capability issues, with guidance and mentoring from senior colleagues.
  • Conduct regular client catch-up meetings and build strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Draft and review HR policies, procedures, contracts, employee handbooks and other HR documentation.
  • Support the Director with client policy writing and consultancy projects.
  • Use HRinform and other HR resources to research employment legislation and provide accurate, up-to-date advice.
  • Attend networking events, HR events and client meetings as required.
  • Keep up to date with changes in UK employment law and HR best practice.

About You

We're looking for someone who is eager to continue developing their HR career within a consultancy environment.

Essential

  • A minimum of 2 years' HR experience.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified, or currently working towards completion.
  • A good understanding of UK employment law and employee relations.
  • A genuine interest in developing your employment law knowledge and HR advisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident building relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A positive, proactive and professional approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to commute to the CV37 office.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within an HR Consultancy.
  • Experience using HRinform or a similar HR and employment law advisory platform.
  • Experience supporting multiple clients or stakeholders.
  • Experience attending client meetings and building professional relationships.
