Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified teaching assistant with an interest in special education needs looking for a new opportunity for September 2024? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a level two or level three qualified TA to join a specialist SEND school in Rochdale. This is a temporary full-time long-term supply role for a qualified teaching assistant from September 2024 to December 2024 in the first instance. The Role Teaching assistant with experience of or an interest in supporting children with a broad range of complex Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Five days a week The ideal TA will - be committed to inclusion and have a passion for SEND Be flexible, enthusiastic and dependable to ensure continuity of support for children with SEND Work collaboratively with other staff, pupils, parents and the multidisciplinary team around the child. Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex communication, behavioural and medical needs. While an experienced SEND teaching assistant is preferred, the school are happy to consider applications from teaching assistants with experience of working with children with SEND in mainstream primary or secondary schools. The School Good Ofsted 2022 Oversubscribed Special School for children aged 11 to 19 The school provides education for pupils and students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, autism, moderate learning difficulties and specific learning difficulties. The school is moving to a primary model from a secondary model in September 2024 - so experience of a primary curriculum as a TA will be beneficial. Excellent facilities for teaching and learning.
