I'm recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Boston, Lincolnshire, looking for an engineer to join an experienced maintenance team supporting a busy production site.

The role offers £52,500, a popular 4 on / 4 off days and nights shift pattern, and the stability of a permanent position with a business that continues to invest in its operation.

Your electrical skills will be a big part of the role, but you'll also need to be comfortable getting involved with mechanical maintenance when required.

• Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns

• Electrical fault finding across production machinery

• Fault finding on PLC-controlled equipment

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults

• Working with production teams to reduce downtime

• Identifying recurring faults and improving equipment reliability

• Completing maintenance records and engineering documentation

• Supporting continuous improvement projects

• Working safely and maintaining high engineering standards

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background.

You'll ideally have:

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent

• Strong electrical fault-finding skills

• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery

• Mechanical maintenance experience

• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or another fast-paced production environment

• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering

• The ability to work independently and as part of an experienced engineering team

• Flexibility to work a 4 on / 4 off days and nights pattern

• £52,500 basic salary

This is a role for an engineer who likes being hands-on.
