Job Title: Legionella Consultant
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary/Benefits: 26k - 40k + Training & Benefits
Our Client is a recognised name within the Water / Legionella industry, and holds a diverse portfolio of Client contracts nationwide. Candidates will need a professional and motivated work ethic as they are representing the company whilst visiting Client sites and must maintain strong relationships with established contracts. Applicants must hold an industry-recognised qualification in Legionella Risk Assessing as a minimum, but other training would be beneficial. Packages and salaries remain competitive within the industry.
Ideal locations for candidates include: Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Chelmsford, Maldon, South Benfleet, Rochford, Canvey Island, Romford, Hornchurch, Rainham, Dagenham, Barking, Ilford, Chigwell, Epping, Enfield, Cheshunt, Harlow, Potters Bar, Borehamwood, Watford, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, Hatfield, Sawbridgeworth, Bishop's Stortford, Luton, Harpenden, Hitchin, Leighton Buzzard, Chesham.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a Legionella Consultant, working for a well-established outfit
- City & Guilds WMSoc Legionella Risk Assessing qualification (or RSPH equivalent) is required
- Excellent industry technical knowledge, including ACOP L8 guidelines, HTM 0401 and HSG 274
- Experience producing thorough technical reports
- Strong client-facing skills, including answering queries and providing technical advice
- Must be flexible in order to travel to Client sites as per requirements
The Role:
- Undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 duties on domestic hot & cold systems and process systems, such as Cooling Towers
- Attending site meetings with Clients, discussing any highlighted risks and advising on recommended remedials and ongoing compliance
- Producing detailed written reports and schematic drawings
- Undertaking audits to ensure employee and company compliance
- Providing support and training to Legionella Risk Assessors
