M and E Aftercare Manager

This role as a M&E Aftercare Manager is integral to the smooth day to day running of the Aftercare & Maintenance Team from project completion to the end of the defect liability period. You will represent Gloster MEP with a clear and professional communication style. With the willingness to take ownership and responsibility for your workload, you will have the ability to organise your time and focus on key objectives.

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone in a M&E construction customer care role who is looking to progress and develop their own department and team. This role also presents a significant opportunity to further develop the department over time.

Technical Skills as a M&E Aftercare Manager:

You will have:

  • Extensive experience (minimum of 5 years) within the MEP construction industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a Facilities & Maintainence role
  • Computer literate with proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A strong client base and relationship skills

You will be able to:

  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with the Aftercare and Maintenance team.
  • Manage priorities with a busy workload
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Aftercare, Warranty and Maintenance department.
  • Keep calm when under pressure
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 17:30 , but be on call at all times, including weekends.

Job Purpose as a M&E Aftercare Manager:

You will be a highly skilled, detail-oriented and take charge of the Aftercare, Warranty and Maintenance department. Including but not limited to the following:

  • Implement policies and procedures and streamline processes where required.
  • Attend regular site meetings as necessary, to demonstrate to clients your involvement in the project. Ensuring you show your drive and enthusiasm for the project for others to follow.
  • You will build your own team in line with GMEP s salary structure, terms and conditions of employment, employee benefits etc.
  • Provide regular reports on the departments financial position to the Directors.
  • Provide effective team management, including overseeing timelines and ensuring client needs are met.
  • Manage, supervise, train and mentor the team to enable them to optimise their work contribution.
  • Set ambitious, yet achievable, goals for expanding the department's capabilities, services, and market reach over time.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, potential clients and third parties including suppliers.
