R&D TECHNICAL MANAGER - NEWLY CREATED POSITION FOR EXPANDING DEPARTMENT - TOP 30 PRACTICE - LONDON BASED - UP TO £75,000 + BENEFITS Carlton Young Recruitment specialise in roles across the Accountancy & Finance Spectrum, aiming to help business thrive and improve lives by introducing the right applicants to the right employers. We are working with a top 30 accountancy firm with over 500 employees. They have a strong history and considerable growth strategy, looking to recruit a Research & Development Technical Manager with the right skills and values to fit into their business. This position is a newly created role, working as a niche part of the tax team and under the guidance of the Head of R&D. The role will include (but not limited to): * Conducting technical interviews and drafting R&D reports for clients * Being the primary contact for the delivery of the R&D service and working collaboratively with clients to produce their R&D report * Assisting in refining the internal systems for R&D * Securing new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships * Collaborating with a diverse range of clients spanning various sectors, covering both SMEs and large corporations * Assisting with the delivery of R&D training to the Firm The company are ideally looking for someone with proven technical experience, ideally with time spent in a commercial environment and has a good understanding of science and technology claims. Ideally you will have: * A degree in a STEM field * Prior experience in preparing written R&D claims * Strong organisational skills * Proactive and self-motivated attitude * Team leadership skills * Experience with dealing with HMRC R&D enquiries (beneficial) This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-growing division of the business and to be one of the people able to develop the internal processes for the role.
