Electrical Maintenance Engineer
📍 Midsomer Norton, Radstock
💰 £35,000 – £42,000 + overtime (1.5x)
🕒 Double Day Shift Pattern (Mon–Fri)
🎉 Early Finish Every Friday
🗓 34 Days Holiday (incl. Bank Hols & Christmas Shutdown)

The Opportunity
Join a well-established, family-oriented manufacturing business with a low staff turnover and excellent working culture. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team of 5 engineers, working across a range of legacy and modern machinery used in printing, packaging, and production.
What You’ll Do
- Electrical and mechanical breakdown response
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM & CBM)
- Fault finding on production machinery
- Installations, upgrades, relocations, modifications
- Working with single and three-phase systems
- Supporting project work and machine improvements
- Collaborating with production and engineering teams
Machinery & Systems Include:
- Conveyors, print & packaging lines
- Motors, drives, control panels
- PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens/Allen Bradley etc.)
- Pneumatics, belts, bearings, pumps
- Automation equipment & sensors
Shift Pattern (Weekly Rotation)
Mornings:
Mon–Wed: 6am–2pm
Thu: 6am–1pm
Fri: 6am–12:30pm
Afternoons:
Mon–Wed: 2pm–10pm
Thu: 1pm–8pm
Fri: 12:30pm–7pm
What We’re Looking For
✔ Time-served Electrical Maintenance Engineer
✔ Experience in manufacturing / production / FMCG / industrial environments
✔ Strong electrical fault finding
✔ Confident with installs, panels, circuits and 3-phase systems
✔ Able to work from wiring diagrams
✔ Some mechanical knowledge (pneumatics, belts, bearings, etc.)
✔ Positive, proactive and team-focused mindset
✔ Able to work independently when required
